This course has been developed by the Reset training team alongside an Expert by Experience from Afghanistan who was welcomed to the UK under Community Sponsorship. Information comes from trusted sources (UN, IRC, UNHCR) and is referenced throughout the course.

After completing this course you’ll feel confident and well-prepared to welcome a family from Afghanistan! You’ll gain an understanding of Afghanistan’s history and geography, explore cultural practices and key celebrations, and have access to resources for further reading and viewing to deepen your knowledge of the country.

This e-learning is self-paced – you register on our Learnworlds platform and can go at your own speed. You can leave your progress and return when you need.
On completion – you’ll get a certificate.
This course is not mandatory – anyone involved in Community Sponsorship can take it to help widen your skills.
