Home » Reset receives funding from Home Office
We’re delighted to share that we have been awarded the contract by the Home Office to continue as the UK’s Community Sponsorship support organisation.
This means that we will continue to train, connect, support and advise all Community Sponsorship groups and those working on the programme in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Following an open tendering process, we have been awarded a grant of almost £500,000 per year until 2024 with the potential to receive further funding until 2025.
Not only will we continue to train Community Sponsorship groups, support Lead Sponsor organisations, and provide advice for local authorities, but we’ll be able to do more to encourage people to welcome refugees through Community Sponsorship as a result of this increase in funding. We’ll be sharing more news on our plans in the coming months. Kate Brown, Co-Director of Reset said:
“We’re proud to have received confirmation of continued funding for our Community Sponsorship work, and we’re excited about the opportunity this will present to us to equip the extraordinary individuals in communities across the UK to welcome refugees. We’re also looking forward to supporting further work to ensure that the experts in sponsorship – those who sponsor and those who are sponsored – continue to drive our work and activity.”
